Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Lubbock Hit-and-Run Crash near 50th and Frankford Avenue

Lubbock, Texas (May 21, 2022) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle early Saturday morning in Lubbock, according to the Lubbock Police.

The major-injury crash occurred shortly before 2:00 a.m. in a parking lot near 50th and Frankford Avenue.

Police said the pedestrian was hit by a vehicle whose driver fled the scene.

The pedestrian sustained major injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. The name of the victim and their current condition were not available.

No further details about the collision were immediately provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
