Man Killed in Jersey Village Pedestrian Accident on Sam Houston Parkway near Philippine Street
Harris County, Texas (February 28, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle Wednesday morning while attempting to cross a feeder road in the Jersey Village area, according to authorities.
The deadly accident happened at around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 27 on the Sam Houston Parkway near Philippine Street.
Authorities said the man was trying to cross the feeder road when for reasons still under investigation he was hit by a vehicle that was making a turn from the Sam Houston Parkway underpass onto Philippine Street.
The man, who was possibly homeless, died in the accident. His name has not been released pending identification and notification of next of kin.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
