Penny Ojeda, Abbie Hutton ID’d as 2 Killed in Falls County Crash on FM 107 and CR 499A

Falls County, Texas (July 8, 2019) – Penny Ojeda, 59, of Wichita Falls and Abbie Hutton, 27, of Palestine have been identified as the two drivers who were killed Sunday evening in a head-on crash in Falls County, according to authorities.

The fatal accident happened at around 6 p.m. Sunday, July 7 on FM 107 and CR 499A.

Authorities said Ojeda was driving a Chevrolet westbound when she tried to pass another vehicle and collided head-on with an eastbound Ford SUV drive by Hutton. The force of the impact caused the Ford to overturn.

Hutton was pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident while Ojeda was taken to Baylor Scott and White in Temple, where she later succumbed to her injuries.

Two passengers in the Ford sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to the hospital.

The crash remains under investigation.
