Pilot Killed in Killeen Plane Crash near East Trimmier Road and Stagecoach Road

Killeen, Texas (July 5, 2021) – According to the Texas DPS, a pilot was killed Sunday evening in a plane crash in Killeen.

The deadly crash happened around 5:23 p.m., July 4, in a field near East Trimmier Road and Stagecoach Road.

DPS said the single-engine aircraft left the New Braunfels Regional Airport earlier on Sunday and was on the way to Skylark Field Airport in Killeen when it crashed in a field.

The pilot was pronounced dead at the scene. They were the only person onboard the plane. Their identity has not been released.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
