Rilee McGraw Killed in Dirt Bike Crash on LaPointe Street in Bridge City

Rilee McGraw ID’d as 5-Year-Old Child Killed in Bridge City Dirt Bike Accident on LaPointe Street

Bridge City, Texas (June 6, 2022) – The child who died in a dirt bike crash on Sunday evening in Bridge City has been identified as 5-year-old Rilee Grace McGraw of Deville, Louisiana.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the fatal accident happened at around 4:57 p.m. Sunday, June 5, in the 800 block of LaPointe Street.

DPS said McGraw was riding a small battery-powered dirt bike on the paved portion of the road when she reportedly drove into the path of a ¾-ton GMC truck that was pulling out of an RV park. The truck ultimately struck McGraw.

McGraw was taken to a hospital in Beaumont, where she was declared dead.

The truck driver, a 31-year-old man from Cedartown, Georgia, stopped at the scene and cooperated with the police.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
