Rosa Cruz Killed in Harris County Pedestrian Accident on Lillja Road and Kaylyn Street

Harris County, Texas (January 24, 2022) – A woman was killed Saturday night in a hit-and-run accident in Harris County, according to the authorities.

The deadly accident happened around 9:00 p.m., January 22, in the 15500 block of Lillja Road and Kaylyn Street.

Authorities said Rosa Cruz, 23, was walking on the eastbound side of the northbound lane of Lillja Road when she was struck by a northbound pickup truck.

The force of the impact sent Cruz into a ditch. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The pickup truck driver fled the scene after the accident. Vehicle parts were found at the scene, and officers were able to determine that the truck was a 2016-18 GMC Sierra.
