Sam Snow Injured in Pearland Motorcycle Accident on FM 1128 at County Road 101

Pearland, Texas (March 15, 2021) – A motorcyclist was injured earlier this month in a hit-and-run crash in Pearland, according to police.

The accident happened on March 3 on FM 1128 at County Road 101.

Police said Sam Snow was riding his motorcycle when he crashed into a newer model white Ford pickup truck that had failed to yield.

The Ford fled the scene after the accident.

An off-duty Pearland assistant police chief stopped and helped Snow, who had been left in the middle of the roadway.

Snow was taken to the hospital, where his leg had to be amputated. He also suffered a stroke in the hospital, paralyzing one of his arms.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help pay for Snow’s medical expenses.

The police are still looking for the hit-and-run driver.

An investigation is underway. Anyone with any information about the suspect is asked to call the Pearland Police Department.

Most motorcycle crashes are caused by negligent drivers who don’t keep a proper lookout or fail to yield the right-of-way. Because motorcyclists are vulnerable, their injuries are usually severe, often suffering from road rash, broken bones, brain injuries, amputations, or spinal cord injuries.
