Suzanne Bardwell Killed in Longview Two-Vehicle Crash on Gilmer Road at Gemi Drive

Longview, Texas (January 11, 2022) – A woman was killed Friday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Longview, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 12:20 p.m., January 7, in the 2900 block of Gilmer Road at the intersection of Gemi Drive.

Police said a Ford pickup truck was traveling southbound on Gilmer Road when a Buick passenger vehicle entered the intersection into the path of the truck, resulting in a collision.

The Buick driver, Suzanne Bardwell of Gilmer, was taken to a local hospital where she later died.

The Ford driver sustained minor injuries in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
