Thomas Martinez Killed in Austin Three-Vehicle Crash on RM 620 near Mansfield Dam

Austin, Texas (October 23, 2020) – One person was killed on Wednesday in a three-vehicle crash in Austin near Lake Travis, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash occurred around 3:12 p.m., on October 21, in the 4200 block of RM 620, near Mansfield Dam Road.

DPS said Thomas Martinez, 56, of Taylor, was driving a 2005 Chevy Tahoe westbound in the left lane when he crossed the center turn lane into the eastbound lane and hit a 2017 Volvo semi-truck.

The Tahoe then went back into the westbound lanes and hit into a 2020 Subaru Outback.

Martinez was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
