Veronica Garza and Gabriel Montoya Killed in Odessa Two-Vehicle Crash on 42nd Street at Kermit Highway
Odessa, Texas (July 13, 2019) – The two people who were killed Thursday evening in a two-vehicle crash at an Odessa intersection have been identified as Veronica Garza, 38, and Gabriel Montoya, 38, according to the police.
The fatal crash happened just before 5:00 p.m. July 11, in the area of 42nd Street and Kermit Highway.
Police said Garza was driving a Kia Optima at a high rate of speed with Montoya as a passenger, in the westbound lanes of 42nd Street, when she hit a curb before crashing into a parked 18-wheeler in the parking lot of Stripes.
Garza and Montoya were pronounced dead at the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
The police are investigating the crash.
