33-Year-old Woman Killed in Houston Rear-End Crash on Galveston Road
Houston, Texas (January 25, 2019) – A woman was killed Tuesday evening in a traffic collision in Houston, police said.
The tragic crash took place at around 5:50 p.m. Tuesday, January 22 in the 9500 block of Galveston Road.
According to the police, a white Ford F-250 pickup truck was heading northbound on Galveston Road when its driver failed to control his speed and rear-ended a charcoal-colored Nissan Altima, which was stopped in a northbound lane of traffic and waiting for southbound traffic to clear to turn left into a business parking lot.
A 33-year-old woman, who was the back right passenger of the Nissan, died in the accident. Her name has not been released pending identification and notification of family.
Further details were not immediately available, and the crash remains under investigation.
