29-Year-Old Woman Suffers Major Following San Antonio Crash on Commercial Avenue

San Antonio, Texas (April 24, 2022) – A woman was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash late Saturday night in San Antonio, authorities said.

The wreck occurred at about 10:47 p.m. on April 23 in the 400 block of Commercial Avenue.

According to the authorities, a blue car was travelling on Commercial Avenue at a high rate of speed when it rear-ended a gray car. The impact sent the gray car across the northbound lanes and slammed into a metal fence.

A 29-year-old woman who was riding as a passenger in the front seat of the gray vehicle sustained major injuries as a result of the crash. She was transported to a nearby hospital, where she was listed in stable condition.

The driver of the blue car did not stop to render aid to the victim and fled the scene. The suspect’s vehicle was later found abandoned.

Police are still searching for the hit-and-run suspect.

No further details were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
