1 Dies in Splendora Rear-End Crash on US 59

Splendora, Texas (April 5, 2019) – One person was killed in a rear-end collision on Thursday afternoon in Splendora, according to the authorities.
The incident happened US 59 near Kingsport  Lane on Thursday, April 4.
Police said a man driving a 2018 Ford F-150 was stopped in traffic due to a jackknifed 18-wheeler on northbound US 59 when he was rear-ended by a Dodge Ram pickup truck.
The driver of the Ford was killed in the collision. His name was withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
The DPS is investigating the incident.
