11-Year-Old Girl, Mother Injured in Pedestrian Crash on Memorial Blvd in Port Arthur

Port Arthur, Texas – A mother and her 11-year-old daughter were injured Monday night in a pedestrian accident in Port Arthur, according to the Port Arthur Police Department.

The accident happened around 9:00 p.m., June 3, in the 2500 block of Memorial Boulevard.

According to the police, the mother and her daughter were crossing the street when they were struck by a northbound GMC pickup truck.

The driver stopped and cooperated with the investigators.

The girl was taken to CHRISTUS St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont with serious injuries.

The mother was taken to the Medical Center of Southeast Texas for treatment.

No additional information was available.

The police are investigating the crash.
