Two Injured in San Antonio Three-Vehicle Crash on I-35 and Highway 90

San Antonio, Texas (December 21, 2020) – Two men were seriously injured in a multi-vehicle crash early Sunday morning in San Antonio, according to police.

The crash happened around 12:30 a.m., December 20, on Interstate 35 and Highway 90.

Police said a black sedan and a black truck were traveling southbound on I-35 when they drove into the Highway 90 interchange.

A police officer was assisting people who had a stalled vehicle on the right-hand shoulder of the highway.

The black truck swerved to avoid the officer but the sedan crashed into the officer’s car.

The officer jumped over the guardrail to avoid being struck by the car.

The sedan was also side-swiped by the truck.

Two men in the sedan were taken to the Brooke Army Medical Center in serious condition. The sedan driver was evaluated at the hospital for DWI and charges are pending against him.

The truck driver and passenger were uninjured in the crash.

The officer and the occupants of the stalled vehicle were also uninjured in the crash.

The crash closed I-35 for several hours.

The police are investigating the crash.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

While there are many causes of car accidents, the most common reasons for driver negligence include driver inattention; cell phone use; texting and driving; speeding; fatigue; failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive; running a red light; and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” Attorney Joel A. Gordon said. Mr. Gordon believes that an independent investigation is important. An Attorney will help obtain the crash report, secure accident photos, interview witnesses, and create a claim.
