Two Hurt in Horseshoe Bay Plane Crash near Airport on FM 2147

Horseshoe, Texas (February 16, 2019) – A plane crashed and left two people injured in Horseshoe Bay on Friday afternoon.
According to the Horseshoe Bay Police Department, the incident happened near the Horseshoe Bay airport in the 6800 block of FM 2147 at about 4:04 p.m. February 15.
Police said the single-engine Experiment Vans RV8 had the pilot and one passenger on board when it crashed for unknown reasons.
The two were transported to St. David’s South Medical Center in Austin. They were both conscious and coherent during the transport.
Horseshoe Bay police said the pilot attempted to turn back to the airport but the plane’s engine failed.
The FAA is working to find out the cause of the crash.
