30-Year-Old Woman Injured in Rollover Crash on IH-2 in Mercedes

30-Year-Old Woman Injured in Mercedes Two-Vehicle Crash on Interstate Highway 2

Mercedes, Texas (February 17, 2022) – A 30-year-old woman was injured Wednesday morning in a rollover crash in Mercedes, according to the authorities.

The crash happened on February 16, in the 1700 Block of East Interstate Highway 2.

Authorities said the woman was driving a white SUV and was attempting to pass a pickup truck from behind, but she struck the left side of the truck.

She then attempted to take evasive action and hit the barricade, causing the SUV to flip on its side.

The woman was taken to a Harlingen hospital with minor injuries.

The other driver, a 60-year-old man, was uninjured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
