76-Year-Old Woman Killed in Car Crash on Eastex Freeway in Houston

76-Year-Old Woman Killed in Houston Two-Vehicle Crash on Eastex Freeway (U.S. Highway 59)

Houston, Texas (May 28, 2021) – A 76-year-old woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash Sunday morning in Houston, according to the police.

The fatal crash occurred around 10:45 a.m., May 23, in the 22200 block of Eastex Freeway (North U.S. Highway 59) service road.

Police said a white Chevrolet Impala and a green Toyota Tundra pickup truck were traveling southbound on the service road when the Tundra changed lanes and hit the Impala.

The Tundra then hit a sign and a concrete pillar.

A passenger in the Tundra, a 76-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been released.

The Tundra driver sustained unknown injuries in the crash.

The Impala driver, a 20-year-old man, was uninjured in the crash.

The police are investigating the crash.
