Man Killed in Arlington Pedestrian Accident on Division Street; Gabriel Hudson Arrested

Arlington, Texas (September 22, 2020) – The driver who was involved in a hit-and-run crash that left a pedestrian dead on Thursday in Arlington has been arrested, according to police.

The crash happened on September 17, on Division Street.

Police said a man was loading a vehicle from a car sales lot onto a car hauler that was parked in the center turn lane on the street across from the business when he was struck by a westbound vehicle as he was standing on the side of the trailer.

The man was taken to the hospital where he later died. His name has been released.

The driver of the vehicle, 37-year old Gabriel Hudson, initially stopped and parked his vehicle at a nearby business and was picked up by another person and left the scene without rendering aid.

Hudson later returned to the scene with a family member and has been charged with Failure to Stop and Render Aid.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
