Francisco Gallegos Killed in El Paso Two-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 10

El Paso, Texas (September 13, 2022) – A man was killed in a two-vehicle crash Sunday morning in El Paso, according to the police.

The deadly crash happened on September 11, on Interstate 10 west.

Police said Francisco Martin Gallegos, 29, of Socorro, was driving a 1995 Chevrolet Suburban at a high rate of speed when he sped past other vehicles. The Chevrolet then struck the rear tires of a trailer being towed by a Freightliner driven by Refugio Vasquez Martinez.

Gallegos lost control of his vehicle, hit the center barrier, rolled over, and landed on the emergency lane of I-10 East.

Gallegos was killed in the crash.

No other details were available.

The crash remains under investigation.
