Henry Steele Killed in Car Crash on Highway 79 in Archer County

Henry Steele Killed in Archer County Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 79 near Davis Road

Archer County, Texas (September 11, 2021) – According to the Texas DPS, one person was killed Friday morning in a head-on collision in Archer County.

The fatal crash happened around 6:30 a.m., September 10, on Highway 79 near Davis Road, just north of Archer City.

DPS said Henry Frazier Steele, IV, 29, of Wichita Falls, was driving southbound on the highway while Delia Estraca, 24, of Henrietta, was driving northbound.

Estraca swerved to miss an animal in the roadway, crossed the center line and crashed almost head-on into Steele’s vehicle.

Steele was taken to United Regional, where he was pronounced dead.

Estraca was taken to United Regional with minor injuries.

The Texas Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
