Karen Rocio-Medina Injured in DUI Crash on Roosevelt Avenue in San Antonio

Karen Rocio-Medina ID’d as Mother Injured in San Antonio Two-Vehicle Crash on Roosevelt Avenue

San Antonio, Texas (July 10, 2019) – The mother who was hurt alongside her two children in a DUI crash Sunday evening in San Antonio has been identified as Karen Rocio-Medina, a local news source reported.

The accident took place around 8:00 p.m. July 7, in the 2700 block of Roosevelt Avenue at E. Southcross Boulevard.

According to the news source, a green Ford Explorer T-boned a silver Nissan driven by Rocio-Medina at the intersection.

Rocio-Medina and her two children, a 5-year-old boy and a 3-year-old girl, were injured in the crash. The victims were taken S to San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC). Rocio-Medina was hospitalized with serious injuries while the girl had life-threatening injuries.

The Ford driver, Carlos Perez, was charged with Intoxication Assault and Retaliation.

The police are investigating the crash.
