Kayleigh Smith-Griego Seriously Injured in Fort Worth Two-Vehicle Crash on Bailey Boswell Road near Twin Mills Boulevard

Fort Worth, Texas (September 19, 2021) – According to the police, two Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD students were killed and a woman was seriously injured Wednesday afternoon in a head-on collision in far Northwest Fort Worth.

The fatal crash happened just before 4:30 p.m., September 15, on Bailey Boswell Road near Twin Mills Boulevard.

Police said a small sedan was traveling at a high rate of speed when it lost control, entered into oncoming traffic and crashed head-on into a truck.

Two teenage brothers in the sedan, Isaiah Lopez, and Elijah Lopez, were pronounced dead at the scene. The two were Boswell High School students. Isaiah was a senior and Elijah was a freshman.

Kayleigh Smith-Griego, 25, who was in the front passenger seat of the truck was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Her husband and her two children were OK after the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
