Man Killed after Truck, Van Collide on North Lamar Boulevard in Austin

Man Killed in Austin Pedestrian Accident on North Lamar Boulevard near Rundberg Lane

Austin, Texas (May 18, 2022) – A pedestrian was killed Wednesday morning following a crash in Austin, according to the Austin Police Department.

The deadly crash happened on North Lamar Boulevard near Rundberg Lane.

Austin Police Department said a truck collided with a van on North Lamar Boulevard. After the crash, one of the vehicles struck a man at a bus stop.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

One of the drivers did not stop to render aid and was arrested.

North Lamar Boulevard was blocked at Rundberg Lane following the wreck.

The Texas Department of Transportation is investigating the crash.
