Melinda Neal Dies in Longview Pedestrian Crash on Eastman Road

Longview, Texas (January 24, 2019) – A 58-year-old woman was killed in a hit-and-run accident in Longview early Wednesday morning, according to the Longview police.
The crash was reported shortly before 2 a.m. January 23 on Eastman Road.
Police said Melinda McBrook Neal, 58, was struck by a vehicle heading north on Eastman Road. The driver failed to stop at the scene after hitting the pedestrian.
Neal was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Police said the suspect vehicle may have been a black Ford pickup.
The crash remains under investigation.
