Grapevine, Texas – A tow truck driver died after being struck by a vehicle on Tuesday in Grapevine, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 11:55 p.m., April 16, in the southbound lanes of the 2000 block of North State Highway 121.

Police said a man was driving a work truck when he fell asleep behind the wheel, struck 27-year-old Mohammad Abu Rub, and rear-ended Abu Rub’s tow truck.

Abu Rub was taken to the hospital where he later died.

The work truck driver was uninjured in the crash.

The Grapevine police are investigating the crash.
