1 Killed in Semi-Trailer Truck Crash on Hwy 287 near Goodnight

One Killed in Goodnight Semi-Trailer Truck Crash on Highway 287 near County Road 25

Goodnight, Texas (January 2, 2023) – One person was killed on New Year’s Day in a crash involving two truck tractor semi-trailers near Goodnight, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 1:00 p.m., January 1, in the eastbound lanes of Highway 287 near County Road 25.

DPS said a truck tractor semi-trailer was traveling eastbound when it rear-ended another truck tractor semi-trailer as it was turning on County Road 25.

One person was killed in the crash. The victim’s identity has not been released.

No further details were provided.

The troopers are investigating the crash.
