Louie Bell Russell Killed in Henderson County Motorcycle Crash on FM 315 near Chandler

Henderson County, Texas (March 7, 2023) – A man was killed Sunday night in a motorcycle crash in Henderson County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened on March 5, on FM 315, just 6.5 miles south of Chandler.

DPS said Louie Bell Russell, 56, was riding his Yamaha Virago motorcycle northbound at an unsafe speed when he failed to drive in a single lane around a curve and struck a Kia Optima that was traveling in the southbound lane.

Russell was killed in the crash.

The Kia driver, Christian Edgerton, 45, was uninjured in the crash.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
