1 Killed in Wrong-Way Crash on I-10 in El Paso County

One Killed in El Paso County Two-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 10

El Paso, Texas (October 24, 2023) – One person was killed Sunday night in a wrong-way crash in El Paso County, according to the deputies.

The fatal crash happened around 11:00 p.m., October 22, on Interstate 10, at mile marker 56, near the Tornillo exit.

Deputies said they received calls from witnesses saying they saw a car driving the wrong way on the westbound lanes. The car then crashed head-on into a tractor-trailer.

The car caught fire after the collision.

The wrong-way driver was killed in the crash. Their identity has not been released.

The two people inside the tractor-trailer suffered minor injuries.

The Special Traffic Investigators are investigating the crash.
