53-Year-Old Woman Injured in San Angelo Bicycle Crash at Avenue J and Harrison Street

San Angelo, Texas (October 25, 2023) – A cyclist was injured Tuesday morning in a crash in San Angelo, according to the police.

The accident happened around 11:00 a.m., October 24, at the intersection of Avenue J and Harrison Street.

Police said a 53-year-old woman was riding her bicycle westbound on Avenue J while a white pickup truck was traveling southbound on Harrison Street and was stopped at the stop sign.

The pickup continued into the intersection and hit the bicyclist.

The bicyclist sustained road rash and leg pain and was checked out at the scene.

The driver of the white pickup was issued a written warning for failure to yield the right of way from a stopped position.

The police are investigating the crash.
