Luis Diosdado Muñoz Killed in Pleasant Grove Pedestrian Accident on South Buckner Boulevard near Loma Garden Avenue

Pleasant Grove, Texas (July 29, 2023) – An ice cream vendor was fatally hit by a vehicle Wednesday night in Pleasant Grove, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 8:41 p.m., July 26, in the 1100 block of South Buckner Boulevard, near Loma Garden Avenue.

Police said a gray 2020 Ford F-150 pickup was traveling southbound when it struck Luis Diosdado Muñoz, 51, who was pushing his cart westbound across the road.

Diosdado Muñoz was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died.

A GoFundMe account was opened Thursday to raise funds to send his remains to his hometown of Guanajuato, Mexico.

The Ford driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.

The police are investigating the crash.
