Avery Fabela Killed in Car Crash with Taco Truck on U.S. 90 in San Antonio

7-Year-Old Avery Fabela Killed in San Antonio Car Crash on Highway 90 at West Military Drive

San Antonio, Texas (February 4, 2020) – A 7-year-old girl was killed, and two other people were injured in a traffic accident involving a taco truck on Saturday in San Antonio, according to the police.

The crash happened on Saturday, February 1, on Highway 90 and West Military Drive.

Police said a 2009 Honda Accord was traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed when it had a blowout, slammed into a guardrail, flipped over the guardrail, crossed the highway and hit a taco truck.

7-year-old Avery Fabela, who was a passenger in the Honda, was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries where she later died.

Fabela’s 26-year-old mother, who was driving the Honda, was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Fabela’s step-father was also taken to the hospital in serious condition.

A Go Fund Me account had been set up to raise money for Avery’s funeral expenses.

The crash remains under investigation.
