Blanch Steward Hit by Train, Critically Injured in Navasota

Blanch Steward Critically Injured in Navasota Train-Pedestrian Accident 

Navasota, Texas (March 3, 2021) – A pedestrian was critically injured Tuesday night after being struck by a train in Navasota, according to police.

The accident was reported around 10:30 p.m., March 2.

Police said Blanch Steward, 71, of Navasota, who is visually impaired, left his nearby home and accidentally wandered onto the train tracks where he was struck by a train.

Steward was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The train damaged some tracks and blocked several intersections.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
