Kevin Martinez Killed in Fort Worth Two-Vehicle Crash on Stalcup Road; Darron Phillips Arrested

Fort Worth, Texas (September 11, 2022) – According to the authorities, a man was killed last month in a two-vehicle crash in Fort Worth.

The fatal crash happened around 2:00 a.m., August 28, in the 3700 block of Stalcup Road.

Authorities said a previous crash was blocking the road, and Kevin Martinez, 21, had stopped his vehicle, waiting to turn to detour around the crash scene. Darron Phillips, 39, of Fort Worth, was driving when he crashed into Martinez’s vehicle.

Martinez was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

Phillips was arrested and booked into the Fort Worth Jail and is facing a charge of intoxication and manslaughter with a vehicle.

The crash remains under investigation.
