Man Injured in Pedestrian Accident on South Jackson Street in Jacksonville

1 Hospitalized after Jacksonville Pedestrian Accident on South Jackson Street

Jacksonville, Texas (August 27, 2019) – A man was injured in a pedestrian accident Monday night in Jacksonville, a local news source reported.

The accident occurred at about 8:55 p.m. August 26, on South Jackson Street.

Police said the man was crossing the roadway in between intersections when he was struck by a vehicle traveling which was heading southbound in the outside lane.

The man was taken to a Jacksonville hospital and was later airlifted to a Tyler hospital with extensive and life-threatening injuries.

The Jacksonville police are conducting the investigation.
