Roderick Davis Killed in Austin Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on East Rundberg Lane

Austin, Texas (June 9, 2020) – The man who was killed last month in a hit-and-run accident in north Austin has been identified as 55-year-old Roderick Davis, according to police.

The deadly accident happened around 2:50 a.m. May 11, on East Rundberg Lane, just east of the Interstate 35 service road.

Police said Davis was lying down in the right lane of East Rundberg Lane when he was struck by a vehicle.

It’s unclear why Davis was lying down in the roadway. He was taken to Dell Seton Medical Center at the University of Texas, where he later died. 

The involved driver fled the scene after the accident. 

Officers said there is currently no description of the involved vehicle.
