Woman Hurt in New Braunfels Wrong-Way Crash on Texas Loop 337

New Braunfels, Texas (May 6, 2019) – A woman was seriously injured in an alleged wrong-way DUI crash that took place in New Braunfels on Saturday night, police said.
The incident occurred shortly before 10:40 p.m. Saturday, May 4, in the 1200 block of Texas Loop 337.
The report showed that the driver of a 2009 Chevrolet pickup truck going north in the southbound lanes of Texas Loop 337 when the vehicle collided head-on with a southbound Mazda.
The emergency crews responded to the incident and extricated a woman who was riding as a passenger in the Mazda. The victim was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center with critical injuries.
The driver of the Chevrolet was taken into custody on suspicion of intoxication assault.
Police are investigating the incident.
