Four Injured in Austin CapMetro Bus Crash at East 15th Street and San Jacinto Boulevard

Austin, Texas (August 27, 2021) – Four people were injured Thursday night in a three-vehicle crash involving a CapMetro bus in Downtown Austin, according to a local news source.

The crash happened on August 26, at the intersection of East 15th Street and San Jacinto Boulevard, near the grounds of the Texas State Capitol building.

According to the report, a Jeep hit a car at the stoplight and then collided with a Capital Metro bus.

Four of the six people in the Jeep were taken to the hospital for treatment.

The bus driver and the two people in the other car were not taken to the hospital.

No further details regarding the crash were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
