Julian Molinar Killed in Hit-and-Run Accident on FM 2020 near Odessa

Julian Molinar Victim in Fatal Odessa pedestrian Accident on FM 2020

Odessa, Texas (December 9, 2019) – A pedestrian was killed Saturday morning in a hit-and-run accident west of Odessa, according to the DPS.

The deadly accident happened around 7:00 a.m. December 7, on FM 2020.

DPS said Joanna Ruiz was driving westbound when she struck Julian Molinar, 20, of Odessa, who was crossing the street.

Ruiz fled the scene but was later located and arrested.

Molinar was pronounced dead at the scene.

Ruiz has been charged with fleeing the scene of a crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
