1 Killed, 1 Injured in 3-Vehicle Crash on I-40 near Amarillo

One Killed and One Injured in Amarillo Three-Vehicle Crash on I-40 near FM 1912 

Amarillo, Texas (March 7, 2023) – One person was killed, and another was injured on Monday in a three-vehicle crash east of Amarillo, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 6:20 a.m., March 6, on I-40 near FM 1912.

DPS said the crash involved a driveaway-tow away truck (truck tractor towing three other semis), a Ford pickup and a rental truck towing a car.

One person was killed in the crash.

Another person was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The crash closed westbound I-40 for more than six hours.

The crash remains under investigation.
