One Killed and Two Injured in Port Aransas Plane Crash at Mustang Island Airport

Port Aransas, Texas (April 25, 2021) – One person was killed, and two others were injured in a plane crash Saturday afternoon in Port Aransas, according to the Texas DPS.

The deadly crash was reported around 1:35 p.m., April 24, at the Mustang Island Airport.

DPS said a small plane crashed at the airport.

The pilot was killed in the crash. Their identity has not been released.

A male passenger was taken to Spohn Shoreline and Doctors Regional with serious injuries. An 8-year-old passenger was also taken to Spohn Shoreline and Doctors Regional in stable condition.

No other details were provided.

The FAA is investigating the crash.
