1 Killed in Head-On Crash on Hwy 155 in Coffee City

1 Killed, 1 Injured in Coffee City Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 155

Coffee City, Texas (February 23, 2023) – One person was killed, and another was injured Wednesday morning in a head-on collision in Coffee City, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 2:30 a.m., February 22, in the 7700 block of Highway 155.

Police said a white car lost control after its spare tire failed and veered into oncoming traffic, where it crashed head-on into a green pickup truck.

The pickup truck driver was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

The driver of the white car was airlifted to a local hospital for treatment.

The crash remains under investigation.
