Christopher Castro Killed in Crash with Big Rig on SH 349 near Rankin in Upton County

San Angelo Man Christopher Castro Killed in Upton County Car Crash on SH 349

Upton County, Texas (May 15, 2019) – A man was killed in a two-vehicle collision on Monday in Upton County, according to the DPS.
The wreck happened on SH 349, approximately 15 miles north of Rankin on Monday, May 13.
DPS said Christopher Castro, 47, of San Angelo, was driving a truck-tractor with a semi-trailer attached to it when he drifted into the southbound lane from the northbound and collided with a Peterbilt truck.
Castro was killed in the collision.
The occupants of the other vehicle were taken to Rankin County Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The DPS is investigating the crash.
