Donna Wright Killed in Big Rig Crash on FM 787 in Cleveland

Donna Wright ID’d as Woman Killed in Cleveland Crash on FM 787 near Cleveland Municipal Airport

Cleveland, Texas (August 24, 2022) – The woman who died following a truck accident Monday near Cleveland has been identified as Donna Wright, 32.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the deadly crash occurred on FM 787 near the Cleveland Municipal Airport on Monday, August 22.

DPS said Wright was driving westbound on FM 787 when she attempted to pass a big rig on a curve. She overcorrected, causing her to lose control of her car.

The woman reportedly struck an oncoming big rig and then slammed into the first big rig she was trying to pass.

Wright was declared at the scene. A 2-year-old boy, who was in a car seat, was ejected from the car. The boy and a 7-year-old child were airlifted to the Texas Medical Center in critical condition.

The drivers of the big rig were not seriously injured.

No additional information about the accident was provided.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
