Kenneth Pearce, Rhonda Durham Dies in Corpus Christi Car Crash on State Highway 359

Corpus Christi, Texas (February 19, 2019) – Two people were killed in a deadly two-vehicle collision in Corpus Christi on Monday afternoon, according to the DPS.
The wreck took place shortly after 3 p.m. February 18 on State Highway 359.
DPS said a caliche fell off a dump truck that was heading west on State Highway 359. The calishe was spilled across the road and moments later, a Jeep and a truck traveling in opposite directions lost control and collided head-on.
The Jeep driver, identified as Kenneth Pearce, 59, and one of his passengers Rhonda Durham, 61, both died in the crash.
Three other passengers in the Jeep, including a 15-month-old child, were all transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the truck was also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
DPS said the driver of the dump truck will be cited for failure to secure the load.
