Kyra Richardson Killed in Car Crash on President George Bush Turnpike in Dallas

Kyra Richardson Killed in Dallas Two-Vehicle Crash on President George Bush Turnpike near Midway Road

Dallas, Texas (May 9, 2022) – A woman was killed early Saturday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Dallas, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened shortly after 2:30 a.m., May 7, on the President George Bush Turnpike near Midway Road.

DPS said Kyra Richardson, 23, was driving westbound on the turnpike in the left lane while another driver was also heading westbound in the farthest right lane.

Richardson stopped in her lane after passing the exit to Midway Road and then backed up and turned right into the far right lane to exit the turnpike.

The other driver then struck Richardson’s vehicle, causing it to hit a guardrail on the right side and roll over.

Richardson was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other details were available.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
