Miguel Angel Rodriguez Arrested After Fatal San Antonio Pedestrian Accident on Bandera Road

San Antonio, Texas (January 12, 2021) – The man who was involved in a hit-and-run crash in November 2020 that left another man dead in San Antonio’s Northwest Side has been arrested, according to police.

Miguel Angel Rodriguez, 28, was arrested on Monday, January 11.

The deadly accident happened around 11:00 p.m., November 19, in the 1220 block of Bandera Road.

Police said Fred Cameron, 61, was attempting to cross the street, outside of a crosswalk in front of his apartment complex, when he was struck by a black Dodge Ram pickup truck driven by Rodriguez.

Cameron was killed in the crash.

Rodriguez fled the scene. Investigators found evidence at the scene including chips of black paint and broken pieces of the truck.

Rodriguez was arrested after a tipster called the police offering them his name. He was tracked down and arrested. He is facing a charge of failure to stop and render aid involving death.

The police are investigating the crash.
