Milagros Ayala, Elier Padilla Killed in 2-Car Crash near Palmview

Palmview, Texas – A woman and her son were killed Monday afternoon in a wrong-way crash north of Palmview, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 3:00 p.m., June 24, on FM 2221 east of Abram Road.

DPS said a black Chevrolet Cruze was traveling the wrong way when it collided with an eastbound white pickup truck.

The Chevrolet driver, Milagros Ayala,22, and her son, Elier Padilla, who was not strapped in his car seat, were pronounced dead at the scene. Ayala was not wearing her seatbelt.

The truck driver was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
