Ramon Arriaga Killed in Weslaco Pedestrian Accident on Mile 4 1/2 Road near Mile 11 N. Road

Weslaco, Texas (May 10, 2022) – A man was killed Saturday night in a hit-and-run accident in Weslaco, according to the Texas DPS.

The deadly accident happened around 11:23 p.m., May 7, on Mile 4 1/2 Road, north of Mile 11 N. Road.

DPS said 69-year-old Ramon Arriaga of Weslaco was struck by an unknown vehicle that then fled the scene.

Arriaga was pronounced dead at the scene.

The state troopers are searching for the suspect vehicle.

No other details were provided.
