Richard Alfrido Killed in San Antonio Pedestrian Accident at San Pedro and Sahara

San Antonio, Texas (June 5, 2019) – A disabled man was hit and killed by a car Tuesday night at a San Antonio intersection, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened on Tuesday, June 4, in the area of San Pedro and Sahara.

Police said 55-year-old Richard Alfrido was in the crosswalk when he stepped into the road with a walker. One car was able to avoid Alfrido, but a second car was unable to and hit him at the intersection. The car driver had a green light.

Alfrido was rushed to the hospital where he later died.

Officers said the car driver stopped at the scene after the accident. He was not intoxicated and cooperated with the authorities.

An investigation is ongoing.
